PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioactive cesium collecting material having a high collection performance of radioactive cesium.SOLUTION: The radioactive cesium collecting material is a cement hardening body having a surface of a pH lower than 8 at which a phenolphthalein solution is not colored by carbonation, or its ground product, and the surface collects underwater radioactive cesium. Preferably, the form of the collecting material is powder, a grain, a member having an uneven surface, a vessel having an uneven surface, or a structure having an uneven surface.SELECTED DRAWING: None
