To provide a gripping device, a gripping transportation device, and a transportation/installation method using the gripping device, wherein a gripping object, such as an outer wall material, can be gripped more efficiently and suitably than conventional ones, and the gripping object can be installed at a desired position more efficiently and with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A gripping device provides a support frame B1, and a gripping frame B2 supported on the support frame B1 by a slide mechanism 10 so as to be movable forward and backward in a first direction R1, and gripping a gripping object by a gripping mechanism 11. The slide mechanism 10 comprises: a guide member 15 provided on the support frame B1, and extending in the first direction R1 to support the gripping frame B2; a slide screw shaft 16 rotatably supported about a rotation axis O1 extending in the first direction R1; a sliding nut 17 screwed to the slide screw shaft 16 and movable forward and backward in the first direction R1 with the forward and reverse rotation of the sliding screw shaft 16; and a nut holder 18 provided on the gripping frame B2 and fixed with the sliding nut 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
