To provide a wall surface joint device capable of preventing one joint plate from entering the back side of the other joint plate and absorbing shaking motion due to an earthquake without being damaged.SOLUTION: A joint device 1 that closes a joint portion between skeletons includes one joint plate 6 having a mounting base end portion provided on one skeleton 3 via a hinge member 5, a recess 7 formed at a free end portion of the one joint plate and extending in the vertical direction, the other joint plate 8 whose mounting base end is provided on the other skeleton 4 via the hinge member 5, a protrusion 9 that is formed at the free end portion of the other plate and normally enters the recess, a joint plate urging mechanism 10 that constantly urges one and the other joint plates inward of the joint portion, and a stopper 11 that prevents one and the other joint plates from rotating inward by a predetermined angle or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
