To provide a wall surface joint device capable of absorbing shaking caused by an earthquake without damaging a joint plate or a building frame.SOLUTION: A wall surface joint device includes a guide member provided on one building frame, a guided portion attached to the guide member so as to be slidable in the front-to-rear direction, a joint plate to which the outer end of the guided portion is connected at one end and in which the back surface of the other end approximately abuts on the wall surface on the front surface side of the other building frame, and biasing means for constantly biasing the joint plate toward the back surface side. The width dimension of the joint plate is formed to a required length taking into account the width dimension of separation between the building frames during an earthquake, and even when the joint between the two building frames becomes wider during an earthquake, the back surface of the other end side of the joint plate approximately abuts on the wall surface on the front surface side of the other building frame.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
