The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a gallium oxide (-Ga_2O_3) by separating and recovering indium and gallium from an IGZO waste scrap. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for manufacturing a gallium oxide (-Ga_2O_3) by separating and recovering indium and gallium from an IGZO waste scrap comprises: a step (a) of dissolving a waste IGZO target with an acid solution; a step (b) of removing zinc and recovering indium hydroxide and gallium hydroxide; a step (c) of separating indium and gallium; a step (d) of recovering indium; a step (e) of adding an acid to a filtrate, and reducing and precipitating the same with the gallium hydroxide; a step (f) of dispersing the gallium hydroxide; a step (g) of refining the gallium hydroxide; and a step (h) of manufacturing a gallium oxide (-Ga_2O_3) by drying and heat-treating the refined gallium hydroxide. The method for manufacturing a gallium oxide (-Ga_2O_3) by separating and recovering indium and gallium from an IGZO waste scrap of the present invention can reduce waste production.
본 발명은 IGZO 폐스크랩으로부터 인듐, 갈륨의 분리 회수를 통한 산화갈륨(-Ga2O3)의 제조 방법 및 그 분말에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로는 IGZO(Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide)로부터 아연을 효과적으로 제거하고, 인듐과 갈륨을 분리하여 이를 통해 산화갈륨을 수득하는 IGZO 폐스크랩으로부터 인듐, 갈륨의 분리 회수를 통한 산화갈륨(-Ga2O3)의 제조 방법 및 그 분말에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 (a) 폐 IGZO 타겟을 산 용액으로 용해시키는 단계; (b) 인듐, 갈륨, 아연을 함유하는 산 용액에 알칼리 용액을 첨가하여 pH를 조절하여 아연을 제거하고, 수산화인듐과 수산화갈륨을 회수하는 단계; (c) 회수된 수산화인듐과 수산화갈륨을 알칼리 용액으로 용해하여 pH를 10 내지 13로 조절하여 인듐과 갈륨을 분리하는 단계; (d) 분리된 수산화인듐을 산 용해한 후 치환하여 인듐을 회수하는 단계; (e) 분리된 갈륨이 함유되어 있는 여액에 산을 첨가하여 수산화갈륨으로 환원 침전시키는 단계; (f) 회수된 수산화갈륨을 산에 재 용해시킨 후 분산제인 PVP(polyvinyl pyrrolidone) 또는 PVA(polyvinyl alcohol)을 투입하여 수산화갈륨을 분산시키는 분산 단계; (g) 상기 (f) 단계에서 분산된 수산화갈륨에 산을 투입하여 재용해시켜 수산화갈륨을 회수한 후 상기 회수된 수산화갈륨을 NH4Cl 용액에서 투입하여 반응시키고, 반응액을 여과시켜 수산화갈륨을 정제하는 단계; (h) 정제된 수산화갈륨을 건조 및 열처리하여 산화갈륨(-Ga2O3)을 제조하는 단계;를 포함하는 IGZO 폐스크랩으로부터 인듐, 갈륨의 분리 회수를 통한 산화갈륨(-Ga2O3)의 제조 방법과, 그 분말을 제공한다.
