The present invention relates to an insulation material capable of being simply manufactured and having an economically excellent flame-retardant property and, more specifically, to an insulation material blocking outdoor air and keeping warmth of indoor air. The insulation material includes: a polystyrene used for insulation, and having a predetermined area and a predetermined thickness; and a flame-retardant member individually installed on the front surface and rear surface of the polystyrene or enclosing the whole outer surface of the polystyrene. The flame-retardant member is formed of a flame-retardant material. The flame-retardant member includes: a body installed on the outer surface of the polystyrene; and at least one or more adhesive units installed on the outer surface of the body so that the body and the polystyrene adhere to each other. The body is formed of foil.

본 발명은 단순하게 제조가 가능하면서도 경제적인 측면에서 우수한 난연성질을 갖는 단열재에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 실외공기를 차단하되 실내공기를 보온하는 단열재에 있어서, 상기 단열재는 소정의 면적과 두께를 갖되 단열을 목적으로 사용되는 스티로폼 및 상기 스티로폼 외면 전체를 감싸거나 상기 스티로폼 전면과 후면에 각각 구비되되 난연성(難燃性) 재료로 성형되는 난연부재를 포함하되, 상기 난연부재는 상기 스티로폼 외면에 구비되는 몸체 및 상기 몸체 외면에 적어도 하나 이상 구비되어 상기 몸체와 상기 스티로폼이 서로 접착될 수 있도록 구비되는 접착부를 포함하며, 상기 몸체는 은박지(FOIL)인 것을 특징으로 한다.
