Pavement Performance of Steel Slag Pervious Concrete
Steel slag is a kind of industrial waste, making full use of which can recycling the resources and reducing environmental pollution. The study used 5-year-old aging converter slag to analyze chemical composition, mechanical property and stability of the steel slag. After applying the steel slag to cement concrete, according to analyze the law of different water-cement ratio, volume ratio of aggregate to slurry and aggregate size influence on strength and water permeability of pervious concrete, a certain kind of steel slag permeable concrete is produced, whose void ratio is 15%∼20%, permeability coefficient is beyond 10mm/s, flexural strength is beyond 4.0MPa. Result shows that steel slag pervious concrete is a new kind of environment-friendly pavement material having high strength, great air void and good permeability, which can reduce noise as well as improve safety and comfort of vehicle travel. Therefore, steel slag pervious concrete can satisfy the service performance of light traffic pavement, It has a wide application prospects in the road project.
