This final Master’s thesis provides insight into the management of public properties and social housing, strategic planning, objectives, tasks. The thesis also contains the analysis of the management patterns of municipal properties and the best practices undertaken in the foreign countries. The analysis of the strategic planning of Vilnius City Municipality and the management of public properties and social housing revealed some issues and tasks to address; it also suggested a possible pattern of management of this property group and also provided some recommendations for more efficient property management. The thesis has been summarised by the findings and suggestions. The thesis consists of the introduction, four parts (the theoretical reasoning, the analysis of the practices of the foreign countries, the overview of the Lithuanian practices and the research part), findings and recommendations and references. The volume of the thesis - 114 text pages, 31 illustrations, 27 tables, 82 references.
