Deep well solves critical water problem on northern pacific
Faced, at one of most important intermediate terminals, with surface water supply that was neither of desirable quality or dependable volume, this road was able to develop ample supply of much better water from underground sources through subsurface exploration; this development resulted, in part, from advances that have been made in well construction and in pumping equipment since original supply was developed.
