New bridge replaces last ferry in N.S.W. state highway system
Bridge carries Pacific Highway over Clarence river at Harwood; bridge has 124 ft vertical lift steel truss span, flanked on each side by 141 ft 6 in. tower truss span, two 141 ft 6 in. truss spans and series of 71 ft 9 in. composite plate girder spans (27 in all), making total length of 2915 ft; roadway width is 28 ft, providing for two lanes of road traffic; construction and road approaches are described.
