The baking-free brick has the advantages of light weight, favorable strength, favorable durability, favorable toughness, favorable crack resistance, low energy consumption and no environment pollution. The method comprises the following steps: by using cement, slag, modified plant fibers and the like as raw materials, stirring uniformly, vibrating in a mold, carrying out extrusion forming to obtain a green brick, carrying out steam curing, and standing outdoors at normal temperature for some time to obtain the finished product.
