The invention relates to a novel diatom ooze bottom powder construction material which is composed of 35-55kg of 8000-mesh fine silica, 10-25kg of 2000-mesh kaolin, 0.5-1.5kg of 600-mesh attapulgite, 2-4kg of 1000-mesh organic meerschaum, 0.2-2kg of negative oxyanion, 1.2-2kg of cellulose, 0.5-0.7kg of 3mm-long wood fiber, 0.2-0.6kg of foam, 40-60kg of 325-mesh ground calcium carbonate, 0.1-0.3kg of resistant cellulose, 15-25kg of coarse sand, 4-6kg of ash calcium powder, 1.5-2.5kg of 1000-mesh nano titanium dioxide and 1-5kg of inorganic pigment. The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing the raw materials according to weight, adding into a dispersion machine, dispersing in the dispersion machine for 15 minutes, and filtering. Compared with the common architectural decoration material, the novel diatom ooze bottom powder construction material is free of any toxic substance, has high adhesion, can be strongly bonded with the wall base layer, ensures no hollowing, shedding or powdering, and has higher water resistance, moisture resistance and air permeability.
