The invention discloses an environment-friendly stair armrest having a fire emergency rescue function. Illumination lamp control cavities are respectively formed in stair armrests; the ends of the stair armrests are connected through armrest plugs arranged on armrest joints; the stair armrests comprise rows of lamp grooves uniformly distributed and communicated with the illumination lamp control cavities; communicated air cavities are formed in the stair armrests and the armrest joints; the stair armrests further comprise rows of air pipe plugs communicated with the air cavities, and breathing cover ports formed in the stair armrests and corresponding to the air pipe plugs; breathing covers are respectively arranged in the breathing cover ports; and compressed air inlet pipes communicated with the air cavities are arranged at the ends of the stair armrests. The stair armrest is simple in structure, and can use the air cavities for supplying air to prevent persons in danger from being injured caused by excessive smoke under the condition of meeting fire to further guarantee the life safety.
