The invention belongs to the field of building materials and relates to a high-simulation ancient fossil decorative plate, a decorative material and a product prepared by taking magnesium sulfate and magnesium oxide as gel base materials. A magnesium oxysulfate material containing 100 parts of magnesium oxide serving as one of the gel base materials, magnesium sulfate and water as blenders, 1 part of citric acid, 0.5 part of oxalic acid serving as a modifier and 100 parts of quartz powder serving as an aggregate is used as a fossil body, wherein the concentration of a mixed solution of magnesium sulfate and water is 30 baume degrees; and the high-simulation fossil plate of an animal/plant fossil body, which is prepared by mixing the magnesium oxysulfate material, iron black, iron oxide red, titanium dioxide, chrome green and other pigments, is used for interior decoration, exterior wall decoration, commercial chambers, landscape layout, stage setting, science popularization exhibition hall setting and teaching models.
