The invention discloses a high temperature resistant and high strength aerated brick and a preparation method thereof. The aerated brick is prepared from the following raw materials by mass: 4-6 parts of calcium hydroxide, 18-25 parts of sawdust, 60-80 parts of fly ash, 15-20 parts of modified hazelnut shell, 10-15 parts of ceramic fiber, 7-9 parts of rock wool, 15-20 parts of gypsum, 0.8-1.2 parts of polytetrafluoroethylene micropowder, 0.6-0.8 part of polyvinyl pyrrolidone, and a proper amount of water. The preparation method includes slurry making, modified hazelnut shell mixture making, brick green body making, steam curing by a steam curing kettle, and molding cooling, etc. The invention aims to provide the high temperature resistant and high strength aerated brick and the preparation method thereof. The aerated brick has the advantages of high strength, good heat resistance, and easy processing. The preparation method of the aerated brick is simple and easy to operate.
