Metakaolin-based geopolymer with superhydrophobic surface and preparation method thereof
The invention relates to metakaolin-based geopolymer with a superhydrophobic surface. A preparation method of the metakaolin-based geopolymer with the superhydrophobic surface includes: 1, calcining kaolin to obtain metakaolin, grinding the metakaolin to obtain metakaolin powder, mixing well the metakaolin powder and a liquid excitant according to a weight ratio: 1:1, injecting a mixture into a mold, performing vibrating and compacting forming, performing curing in a curing box along with the mold, and performing demolding to obtain metakaolin-based geopolymer; 2, coating the surface of the metakaolin-based geopolymer with a liquid hydrophobic modifier, or applying the liquid hydrophobic modifier to the surface of the metakaolin-based geopolymer by spraying, thereby ensuring the surface of the metakaolin-based geopolymer is fully wetted, and allowing natural air-drying to obtain the metakaolin-based geopolymer with the superhydrophobic surface. Water permeation resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance and salt resistance of the metakaolin-based geopolymer are enhanced significantly, thus the metakaolin-based geopolymer is applicable to situations requiring water permeation resistance, salt resistance acid resistance and alkali resistance, is capable of preventing water permeation and prolonging service life of a material.
