The invention discloses a hydrophobic polymer cement waterproof coating and a preparation method thereof. The hydrophobic polymer cement waterproof coating is prepared from, by weight, 433 parts of polymer emulsion, 5 parts of plasticizer, 5 parts of defoaming agents, 1.6 parts of thickener PRM-300, 0.8 part of multifunctional additive, 4 parts of methyl sodium silicate, 266 parts of 42.5 Portland cement, 145 parts of 8# quartz sand and 145 parts of 10# quartz sand. After curing and film forming, the coating film has the waterproof and hydrophobic actual effects at the same time, and has the good capillary crystalline performance, the reverse capillary effect is achieved, the excellent hydrophobic layer is formed, and meanwhile the minimum inflation function and compactness increasing function are achieved; the methyl sodium silicate is added as a hydrophobic agent, and due to the fact that the methyl belongs to hydrophobic groups, the hydrophobicity of waterproof coating is increased after film formation, the compactness of the coating is increased, the waterproof, dampproof, anti-aging and anti-fouling performance and weather resistance of the waterproof coating film are improved, and the hydroscopicity of the coating film is lowered.
