The invention provides a modified regenerated polymer fiber, an asphalt mixture containing the fiber and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method of the modified regenerated polymer fibercomprises the following steps of carrying out plasma treatment on the regenerated polymer fiber, then performing grafting reaction on the treated regenerated polymer fiber and a silane coupling agentin a mixed solution of deionized water and absolute ethyl alcohol, and next, carrying out polycondensation reaction with tetraethyl orthosilicate in a mixed solution of ammonia water, deionized waterand absolute ethyl alcohol. According to the modified regenerated polymer fiber provided by the invention, the heat resistance and the toughness of the fiber are relatively high, the problem that theheat resistance of the regenerated polymer fiber is relatively poor due to the fact that the processing technology is not mature is solved, and an effective way can be provided for reuse of the wasteresources. According to the asphalt mixture prepared by the modified regenerated polymer fiber, the standard Marshall stability of the asphalt mixture at 60 DEG C reaches the requirements of petroleumasphalt specification, and the service life of an asphalt pavement can be prolonged.
