The invention provides a phenyl sulfonic block polymer modified polycarboxylate water reducer. The polycarboxylate water reducer mother liquor is prepared from the following materials in parts by weight: 348-365 parts of polyether macro-monomers, 18-26 parts of acrylic acid, 10-14 parts of sulfonic acid monomers, 3-8 parts of benzene ring monomers, 3.2-4.3 parts of an initiator, 1.1-1.5 parts of achain transfer agent and the balance being water, the total mass is 1000 parts, and the solid content is 40%. The polymerization process comprises the following steps: step 1, initiating copolymerization of a benzene ring monomer and a sulfonic acid monomer at 50-60 DEG C to obtain a block polymer I; step 2, copolymerizing a polyether macro-monomer and acrylic acid at the room temperature to obtain a block polymer II; and step 3, dropwise adding a mixed solution of the block polymer I, acrylic acid and a chain transfer agent and an initiator solution into the block polymer II at the same timewithin 2-3 hours at the temperature of 30-45 DEG C, and cooling to the room temperature to obtain the benzene ring amide block polymer modified polycarboxylate water reducer mother liquor. Compared with a common water reducer, the provided polycarboxylate water reducer is better in adsorption and dispersion effects, stronger in slump loss resistance and better in early strength effect.
