The ground guide rail orthogonal type vehicle handling system includes a parking area, a passage area, a handling vehicle, parking guide rails, passage guide rails and a reversing device. When the handling vehicle is used for handling of a vehicle, the width of a required parking space is relatively small; the guide rails are installed in the passage area and parking spaces, with the cooperation of the reversing device, the handling vehicle can realize the conversion between longitudinal displacement and lateral displacement without turning, so that the operating efficiency is relatively high, and the turning radius does not need to be considered on roads in the parking area to achieve accommodation of more parking spaces. The production and installation costs of the guide rails and the reversing device are extremely low, and almost no maintenance is required; the production cost of a vehicle carryingplate is not high, no installation is required, and almost no maintenance cost is caused; and the shared cost of the handling vehicle shared by the multiple parking spaces is further low. A matching intelligent management system of the ground guide rail orthogonal type vehicle handling system can realize the pre-scheduling of the vehicle carrying plate when parking and the pre-scheduling of the vehicle when vehicle picking, automatic vehicle handling is simple and low-cost, and the operating efficiency of a flat parking lot is improved.
