The invention belongs to the technical field of building materials, and particularly relates to building mortar and a preparation process thereof. A base, a motor and an air compressor are arranged; aguide plate is fixedly connected to the upper surface of the base; a sliding groove is formed in one side, away from a stirring barrel, of the guide plate; symmetrically-designed lead screws are rotationally connected into the sliding grooves; the end, close to the base, of the lead screw extends into a first cavity; the end, located in the first cavity, of the lead screw is connected with an output shaft of the motor through a belt; a sliding block is connected into the sliding groove in a sliding manner; the sliding blocks are engaged with the lead screws; the ends, away from the sliding grooves, of the sliding blocks are sleeved with limiting blocks; a rotating groove is formed in the end, away from the sliding block, of the limiting block; and a first plastering plate and a second plastering plate are hinged in the rotating groove. Mortar spraying and plastering are combined, after mortar is sprayed to the wall surface through high-speed airflow, the mortar sprayed to the wall surface is trimmed through the elastic pressing plate, and therefore forming of a mortar layer is accelerated.
