The invention relates to the technical field of rail transit, and especially relates to a variable-gauge sleeper unit and a variable-gauge sleeper system for a ballast track. The variable-gauge sleeper unit comprises a first longitudinal sleeper and a second longitudinal sleeper, the first longitudinal sleeper and the second longitudinal sleeper are arranged at intervals in the direction perpendicular to a line, a telescopic device is arranged between the first longitudinal sleeper and the second longitudinal sleeper, and the telescopic device can adjust the distance between the first longitudinal sleeper and the second longitudinal sleeper; and the variable-gauge sleeper system comprises at least two variable-gauge sleeper units, and all the variable-gauge sleeper units are continuously arranged in the line direction. By adjusting the telescopic device, the distance between the first longitudinal sleeper and the second longitudinal sleeper is adjusted, and the gauge-changeable sleeperunit can be applied to various ballast tracks with different gauges.
