The invention belongs to the technical field of ceramic tile back adhesive, and particularly relates to a single-component rigid waterproof material and a preparation method thereof, wherein the single-component rigid waterproof material is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 25-40 parts of cement, 20-35 parts of sandstone, 10-20 parts of rubber powder, 10-13 parts of a high-molecular polymer and 5.5-8 parts of an additive. According to the invention, a water repellent is arranged; the hydrophobicity of the single-component rigid waterproof back adhesive is improved,the water absorption rate is reduced, and the water repellent and the single-component rigid waterproof back adhesive supplement each other, so the back adhesive has hydrophobic performance and weather resistant properties; compared with an existing formula, the hydrophobicity cannot fail for a long time, the water absorption rate is also greatly reduced, and good construction performance is achieved; high-molecular polymers are added, and pure high-molecular polymers are generally chemically inert, so that the high-molecular polymers are non-toxic, toxic monomers are not reacted completely, toxic substances are prevented from being generated to harm human bodies, and along with rapid development of the high-molecular polymers, the development speed and the application universality of thehigh-molecular polymers greatly exceed those of traditional materials.
