The invention discloses fiber cement mortar and a preparation method thereof. The fiber cement mortar comprises the following components in percentage by volume: 98-99.5% of cement mortar and 0.5-2.0%of fiber, wherein the cement mortar is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by mass: 70 to 250 parts of water, 200 to 800 parts of fine aggregate, 200 to 600 parts of gel material and 2to 6 parts of water reducing agent, wherein the fibers are fishing net fibers; the length of the fiber is 5-70 mm, and the diameter of the fiber is 0.1-2 mm. By controlling the proportion of the fiber cement mortar and the size of the fiber, the anti-cracking performance, the impact resistance and the bending resistance of the cement mortar are improved to a certain extent. In addition, the wastefishing net is recycled, environmental damage is reduced, and waste utilization is achieved.
