The method comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing 0.01-0.5 parts by weight of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, 0.5-2 parts by weight of redispersible latex powder, 2-4 parts by weight of expanded perlite and 0.02-0.08 parts by weight of calcium salt of amino acid oligomer, adding 50-58 parts byweight of modified phosphogypsum, 5-7 parts by weight of ground calcium carbonate powder, 1-2 parts by weight of vitrified micro bubbles and 20-25 parts by weight of quartz sand, and carrying out mixing to obtain building gypsum. The preparation method of the modified phosphogypsum specifically comprises the following steps of: S1, crushing phosphogypsum, and carrying out sieving to obtain sievedphosphogypsum; S2, pre-treating the sieved phosphogypsum by utilizing an autoclaved boiler to obtain a pre-treated material; and S3, stir-frying the pretreated material to obtain the modified phosphogypsum. The preparation method has the beneficial effects that the phosphogypsum is modified, the applicability of the phosphogypsum is enhanced, the phosphogypsum is effectively applied to the building gypsum, and the building gypsum based on the modified phosphogypsum is prepared.
