The invention discloses a production process of alpha-alumina micro powder for microcrystalline high-alumina ballstone and lining bricks. A cyclone preheater is vertically arranged and is fixedly arranged on a plurality of brackets; an outlet end of a feed hopper is connected with a rotating dryer; one end of the rotating dryer is connected with an additive adding pipe; the other end of the rotating dryer is connected with a grinder; an outlet end of the grinder is connected with a preheating chamber; the bottom of the preheating chamber is connected with an elevator; the upper end of the elevator is connected with a cyclone preheater; the lower end of the cyclone preheater is connected with a calcining kiln; one end of the calcining kiln is connected with a drum-type cooling machine; a hot air pipe is connected to the side wall of the drum-type cooling machine; and the tail end of the hot air pipe is connected with the preheating chamber. The obtained product not only can be used forglaze, but also can be used in the whole process of ceramic production, the application range is wide, the conversion rate of alpha-alumina obtained in production is high, the wear resistance of theproduced ceramic product is good, and the whole process can be used for continuous production.
