The invention relates to an environment-friendly composite pore-forming agent for ceramsite and a production process of the environment-friendly composite pore-forming agent. The composite pore-forming agent is composed of the following raw materials in parts by mass: 60-90 parts of a main material, 30-45 parts of an auxiliary material, 3-4.5 parts of a fluxing agent and 4.8-7.2 parts of a bindingagent, wherein the main material is one or more than one selected from the group consisting of plant straw, cereal husks, walnut shells and sawdust, the auxiliary material is one or more than one selected from the group consisting of pulverized coal, limestone, magnesium carbonate and ferric oxide, and the fluxing agent is one ormore than one selected from the group consisting of carbide slurry,calcium oxide and magnesium oxide. The ceramsite produced by using the composite pore-forming agent has independent bead bubbles, and is reasonable in structure, good in homogeneity, reduced in waterabsorption rate, improved in compressive strength and freezing resistance and prolonged in service life; and the product is non-toxic, harmless, energy-saving and environment-friendly, and industrialand agricultural wastes are fully utilized.
