The invention belongs to the technical field of intelligent parking, and discloses a vehicle parking and unparking system for a series-connection type parking hall of an open structure. The vehicle parking and unparking system comprises a central processing unit, a man-machine interaction terminal, a vehicle detecting device and a parking robot controller. The central processing unit comprises a function allocation unit, an image processing unit, an information processing unit and a parking spot acquiring unit. The series-connection type parking hall of the open structure comprises two or moreswitchable parking spots capable of making vehicles parked thereon connected end to end. The vehicle parking and unparking system can dynamically allocate a parking function and an unparking functionto all the switchable parking spots according to actual parking and unparking situation so as to avoid the waste of resources and the futile queueing of users; the vehicles can be driven into or outof the parking hall without turning, occupies small space and can be conveniently parked or unparked; and due to the outdoor open structure, users may feel a higher sense of safety and acquire a broader view, fidget and fatigue are easily relieved, and parking and starting speed are higher.
