The invention discloses double-layer reaction microcrystalline glaze and a preparation method thereof. The double-layer reaction microcrystalline glaze comprises ground glaze applied to a green body and mouth edge glaze decorated on the mouth edge of the green body, wherein a glaze material used by the ground glaze comprises the following components in parts by mass: 40-50 parts of potassium feldspar; 8-13 parts of dolomite; 5 to 10 parts of calcite; 10 to 15 parts of spodumene; 6 to 10 parts of titanium dioxide; a glaze material used by the mouth edge glaze comprises the following componentsin parts by mass: 30-35 parts of potassium feldspar, 10-15 parts of calcite, 10-15 parts of talc, 10-12 parts of lithium carbonate and 10-15 parts of titanium oxide. The ground glaze is a matt reaction glaze, a light and matt alternate change effect is formed at the combined part of the ground glaze and the mouth edge glaze, and white crystals are separated out, so that the product is very attractive.
