The invention discloses a water drain pipe, and belongs to the field of drainage pipelines. The water drain pipe can prevent insects and dangerous articles from entering the water drain pipe. The water drain pipe comprises a section of inclined pipe and a section of straight pipe, a spring frame fixed to the inner wall of the straight pipe is arranged in a pipe cavity of the upper half section ofthe straight pipe, a piston matched with the pipe cavity of the straight pipe is arranged below the spring frame, the spring frame and the piston are connected up and down through an extension spring,several longitudinal leakage holes are evenly machined in the circumference of the pipe wall of the lower half section of the straight pipe, and a baffle capable of preventing the piston from being disengaged from the pipe cavity of the straight pipe is machined on the lower end face of the straight pipe. When flowing water flows from top to bottom, the impact force of the flowing water impacts the piston downwards, so that the piston slides downwards to reach the lower half part of the straight pipe, and the flowing water flows out through the leakage holes; and after the water flow passes,the impact force disappears, the elastic restoring force of the spring promotes the piston to move upwards to the original position before the piston moves downwards, one-time opening and closing drainage process is completed, and winged insects and crawlers cannot enter the water drain pipe. The water drain pipe is suitable for buildings needing drainage.
