The invention relates to the technical field of bamboo-wood structure construction and application, and discloses an engineering bamboo component reinforced by profile steel. The engineering bamboo component is prepared by combining a component body and the profile steel. The profile steel is I-shaped steel or inverted T-shaped steel, the profile steel is arranged in the middle of the interior ofthe component body, and the component body and the profile steel are integrally pressed, glued and cured to be formed. Or, the component body with a rectangular section and a vertical groove in the bottom is combined with the T-shaped steel, the flange of the T-shaped steel is bonded with the bottom of the component body through structural glue, a web of the T-shaped steel is inserted into the vertical groove, a self-tapping screw is driven into the component body from the side face of the component body, and the component body is fixedly connected with the web of the T-shaped steel. The invention further discloses a preparation method of the engineering bamboo component reinforced by the profile steel. According to the engineering bamboo component reinforced by the profile steel and the preparation method thereof, the bending strength and the bending rigidity of the engineering bamboo component can be improved through the combination effect of the profile steel and the component body,so that the section of the component is reduced, and the utilization rate of materials is improved.
