The invention discloses radiation-proof self-compacting concrete and a preparation method thereof. The radiation-proof self-compacting concrete comprises the following components: radiation-proof cement, an admixture, iron tailing sand, barite gravel, a superplasticizer, a rheological agent, a stabilizer and water; the radiation-proof cement is one of barium cement and strontium cement; the admixture is a mixture of boron-containing ore and lithium-containing ore. The self-compacting concrete comprises 440-480 kg/m<3> of the radiation-proof cement, 220-260 kg/m<3> of the admixture, 1020-1060 kg/m<3> of the iron tailing sand, 2250-2290 kg/m<3> of the barite gravel, 10-14 kg/m<3> of the superplasticizer, 4-8 kg/m<3> of the rheological agent and 1-4 kg/m<3> of the stabilizer, and the control range of water cement ratio is 0.36-0.40. According to the invention, the radiation protection performance and mechanical strength of the concrete can be ensured while high flowability, segregation resistance and self-compaction of the concrete are realized, and the concrete is environment-friendly and low in cost.
