A pressure forming process for a light mullite-spinel hollow sphere sagger relates to the field of refractory materials, and comprises the following steps: putting 8-12 parts by weight of Suzhou No.2 mud, 8-12 parts by weight of alpha-alumina powder, 4-6 parts by weight of alpha-alumina micro powder, 6-8 parts by weight of fused corundum powder, 13-21 parts by weight of fused mullite powder, 15-25 parts by weight of fused spinel hollow spheres of 0.2-1 mm, 4-6 parts by weight of fused spinel hollow spheres of 1-2 mm, 5-15 parts of 0-1mm light mullite particles and 10-20 parts of 1-2mm light mullite particles into a stirrer, fully conducting mixing, adding a binding agent paper pulp waste liquid, fully conducting stirring to form a mixture with certain cohesiveness, pouring the mixture into a mold, carrying out pressure forming, and conducting sintering in a kiln, thereby obtaining the sagger which has the advantages of light weight, long service life and high cost performance.
