The invention relates to a steel wire anchoring device for doubling method construction of a main cable of a suspension bridge. The device at least comprises movable rods, fixed rods, an eight-wire clamping device, a four-wire clamping device, a rigging turnbuckle, an upper steel wire rope clamp, a lower steel wire rope clamp, a steel wire rope, a catwalk large cross beam, a catwalk rope and a cross rod, wherein two vertical rods are respectively formed by upper and lower connection of two movable rods and two fixed rods, a cross rod is vertically connected between the fixing rods of the two vertical rods, and the bottoms of the two fixing rods are connected with a catwalk large cross beam; two ends of the top of the movable rod of each vertical rod enable the two steel wire ropes to be obliquely pulled through rigging turnbuckles, upper steel wire rope clamps and lower steel wire rope clamps to form straight triangles which are symmetrical left and right with the corresponding vertical rod as the center; an upper end of each steel wire rope is fixed on the top of the movable rod through a rigging turnbuckle, and a lower end is fixed on the catwalk rope through a lower steel wire rope clamp; an eight-wire clamping device is further fixed to the top of each movable rod, two sets of four-wire clamping devices are fixed to the transverse rod, and the two vertical rods are symmetrically arranged about the center line of a catwalk.
