The thermal insulation mortar is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: cement, fly ash, calcium powder, talcum powder, silicon powder, an expanding agent, cellulose ether, a water repellent, wood fibers, vitrified particles, a retarder, polystyrene foam, a melamine superplasticizer, sodium tripolyphosphate, calcium gluconate, an antioxidant, basalt fibers, polypropylene staple fibers and fine sand. The anionic surface activity of the Portland cement is controlled through the efficient water-reducing property of the melamine, then the characteristics of low bleeding, low alkali, low sodium sulfate content and good water-retaining property of the Portland cement are controlled, the cement hydration speed and hydration heat are reduced through the retarder, the setting time is prolonged, the overall solid property of the mortar is effectively improved, after the cellulose ether and the wood fiber are dissolved, on one hand, the solubility of the mortar is improved, on the other hand, the toughness of the mortar is improved, and meanwhile, the polypropylene short fiber improves the heat preservation and heat insulation properties of the mortar.
