The invention discloses a method for repairing an ancient city wall by using a freeze-thaw resistant coating. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, preparing isobutyltriethoxysilane, methyltrimethoxysilane, silicon carbide, a thickening agent, a stabilizing agent and a cross-linking agent; various raw materials are mixed to prepare the freeze-thaw resistant coating; determining a coating smearing area, wiping city wall bricks in the to-be-smeared area, removing impurities in pores of the city wall bricks, and then waiting for air drying of the to-be-smeared area to ensure that the to-be-smeared area is dry; the prepared freeze-thaw resistant coating is uniformly coated on a to-be-coated area, a hydrophobic area is formed on the surface of a base material, and damage can be effectively avoided if a brick body structure is kept dry; according to the method for repairing the ancient city wall through the freeze-thaw-resistant coating, the freeze-thaw-resistant coating is prepared from isobutyltriethoxysilane, methyltrimethoxysilane, silicon carbide, the thickening agent, the stabilizer and the cross-linking agent, and more effective repairing operation can be conducted on the ancient city wall.
