The invention discloses a shear wall, and relates to the technical field of shear wall construction, the shear wall comprises two shear wall pouring formworks, transverse positioning steel bars, drag hooks, jacking steel pipes and through-wall bolts, and the two shear wall pouring formworks are located on the two sides of the shear wall correspondingly; the two shear wall pouring formworks are fixedly connected through a plurality of through-wall bolts distributed in a rectangular array mode, the jacking steel pipes are located on the outer side walls of the shear wall pouring formworks, and the through-wall bolts are connected with the jacking steel pipes in a penetrating mode. The invention further discloses a shear wall and a construction method thereof, the construction method comprises the steps of manufacturing of the longitudinal positioning steel bars, binding, positioning and welding, installation of the sleeving type top keys, closing and fixing of the shear wall pouring formwork and pouring and formwork removal, the size of the whole steel bar framework is better controlled, and the thickness of a steel bar protection layer is ensured. The rigidity of the whole steel reinforcement framework can be improved, follow-up formwork construction is facilitated, the strength of the poured concrete shear wall is improved, and the problem of steel reinforcement deviation is well solved.
