The invention discloses a noise reduction magneto-rheological pavement material and a preparation method thereof, the noise reduction magneto-rheological pavement material comprises a mixture and a magneto-rheological elastic emulsion, the mixture comprises asphalt, maleic anhydride and a base material, the base material comprises a calcined material and trimethyloxysilane, the calcined material comprises aluminum ash, kaolin, basalt, feldspar, sodium silicate and sodium bicarbonate, and the magneto-rheological elastic emulsion is a mixture of asphalt, maleic anhydride and trimethyloxysilane. The magneto-rheological elastomer comprises hydroxy iron powder, high-molecular epoxy resin, chloroprene rubber emulsion, polyether acrylate and an emulsifier monomer, and the doping amount of the magneto-rheological elastic emulsion accounts for 0.2%-1.8% of the total mass of the mixture. The problem that an existing pavement material is poor in noise reduction effect is solved.
