The invention relates to a heat-insulating glass unit as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The heat insulation glass unit at least comprises a first glass plate and a second glass plate, the peripheries of the first glass plate and the second glass plate are sealed through a sealing structure to form a hollow cavity, the sealing structure comprises a spacing frame, and the spacing frame is connected with the inner surface of the first glass plate and the inner surface of the second glass plate through first sealant. A molecular sieve is arranged in the spacing frame; and the second sealant seals the outer side of the spacing frame, the second sealant comprises expanded thermoplastic polyurethane, and the second sealant at least seals the area between the first glass plate and the second glass plate. The heat insulation glass unit has the advantages that the service life is prolonged, the mechanical strength is improved, and the influence of external environment change on the appearance and performance of the heat insulation glass unit is avoided.
