The invention relates to the field of concrete, and particularly discloses environment-friendly concrete and a preparation method thereof.The environment-friendly concrete is prepared from slag cement, modified waste concrete, polyvinyl alcohol fibers, a magnesium oxide anti-cracking agent, quartz sand, gravel, fly ash, a polycarboxylate superplasticizer and water; the modified waste concrete is prepared by the following steps: heating waste concrete, cooling with water, crushing, and soaking in a water glass solution for 2-3 hours to obtain the modified waste concrete. The highest breaking strength of the environment-friendly concrete is 6.6 MPa, and the strength of the environment-friendly concrete is improved; the lowest elastic modulus, slump and dry density are 12 GPa, 15 cm and 618 kg/m < 3 > respectively, and the high-strength concrete has high flexibility and workability; and the longest crack occurrence time of the environment-friendly concrete is 201 days, so that the crack resistance of the environment-friendly concrete is improved.
