The invention relates to a two-component hollow glass bead thermal insulation coating external wall thermal insulation system, a preparation method and application thereof, and relates to the field of building energy saving and thermal insulation technologies, the external wall thermal insulation system comprises a thermal insulation layer, a waterproof anti-crack putty layer and a surface coating which are sequentially arranged on a wall body, and the thickness of the thermal insulation layer is 3-50 mm; the thermal insulation layer comprises a component A and a component B in a mass ratio of (8-10): 1; the component A is prepared from the following raw materials: water, hollow glass beads, aerogel, combined fibers, cellulose, a dispersing agent and a wetting agent; and the component B comprises the following raw materials: cement and an air entraining agent. The thermal insulation coating provided by the invention has a self-adhesive property, an adhesive mortar layer does not need to be additionally arranged, and the whole coating has better waterproof, fireproof and thermal insulation properties.
