The invention discloses novel high-viscosity supporting guniting and a preparation method thereof, relates to the field of mine underground supporting guniting materials, aims to solve the problems of poor adhesion and high rebound rate in the prior art, and adopts the technical scheme that the novel high-viscosity supporting guniting comprises cement, gypsum, desulfurized gypsum, fly ash, tailings, an accelerator, a water reducer and a tackifier. The aggregate, the cementing material and the polymer additive are added, and the surface of the cementing material is covered with a film formed by a polymer, so that a cementing material matrix and the aggregate are strongly bonded; and by enhancing the binding force between the aggregate and the rubber material and reducing the resilience, high viscosity is taken as a main component, and rapid setting is taken as an auxiliary component, so that the obtained guniting material is high in cohesiveness and low in resilience rate.
