The invention provides a weak base excited slag cementing material, a preparation method thereof and a building material, and belongs to the field of solid waste resource utilization. The weak base excited slag cementing material is composed of slag, sand, waste glass powder, sodium carbonate, calcium oxide and water. The weakly alkaline substances (sodium carbonate and calcium oxide) are utilized to excite the solid waste type inorganic adhesive, so that the solid waste type inorganic adhesive has the advantages of good compressive strength, small shrinkage, good fire resistance and the like. The problems of high energy consumption, high pollution and high danger coefficient of a strong alkali exciting agent are solved. Meanwhile, by utilizing the weak base to excite the solid waste, not only is a solid waste utilization way provided, but also the weak base excited cementing material which is low in cost, safe to manufacture and excellent in performance is prepared.
