The invention discloses a transverse limiting type vibration reduction fastener system and an installation method thereof.The fastener system comprises a sleeper and a pre-buried sleeve arranged in the sleeper, and an insulating buffer base plate is laid on the sleeper; a shock absorber assembly formed by connecting an upper iron base plate, a middle shock absorption base plate, a lower iron base plate and a limiting block into a whole through a connecting sleeve is laid on the insulating buffer base plate, a distance adjusting fastener is placed on the shock absorber assembly, and an anchor bolt penetrates through a spring washer, a distance adjusting buckle plate, the shock absorber assembly and the insulating buffer base plate to be connected with an embedded sleeve. An under-rail backing plate is laid on the upper iron backing plate, a steel rail is laid on the under-rail backing plate, insulating gauge blocks are installed on the two sides of the steel rail, and the steel rail is buckled on the upper iron backing plate through elastic strips. The vibration reduction fastener is low in vertical rigidity and high in transverse rigidity, vibration and noise of a steel rail can be effectively reduced, installation and maintenance of the fastener can be facilitated, and meanwhile the transverse stability of a fastener system is guaranteed.
