The invention discloses a nano calcium silicate hydrate gel humidity-controlling material and a preparation method thereof, and relates to the technical field of humidity-controlling material preparation. The method comprises the following steps: mixing a siliceous material, a calcareous material and water, carrying out hydrothermal reaction to obtain slurry, cooling, adding a dispersing agent, dispersing, and filtering to obtain nano hydrated calcium silicate gel; drying and grinding to obtain nano hydrated calcium silicate powder; and uniformly dispersing and mixing with a lubricant, pouring into a mold, and carrying out compression molding to obtain the nano calcium silicate hydrate gel humidifying material. The nano calcium silicate hydrate gel has nano-scale micropores, the raw materials are wide in source and low in price, the preparation process is controllable, the humidity adjusting range of the humidity adjusting material is 70-100%, and the moisture absorption rate is 15-30%. The invention solves the problems of high cost, poor durability and poor performance of the existing humidity control material.
