The invention provides a unit type ladder cage capable of automatically adjusting the height. The unit type ladder cage comprises a base; the base comprises a bottom frame, a middle frame is arranged over the bottom frame, and the middle frame is connected with the bottom frame through a first supporting pipe; a bottom platform is arranged on the bottom frame; the middle platform is slidably connected with the middle frame; a top seat; the top seat comprises a top frame, second supporting pipes are arranged at the four corners of the top frame correspondingly, and the four second supporting pipes are connected with the four first supporting pipes in a bell and spigot joint mode correspondingly. A top platform is arranged on the top frame; the first ladder section is arranged between the bottom platform and the middle platform; and the second ladder section is arranged between the middle platform and the top platform. The method can greatly improve the selectivity and flexibility of different azimuth heights in construction, and eliminates the height difference between the elevator entrance and exit and the floor surface.
