The invention relates to a water filling pillow type base material for rapidly constructing a cofferdam and a using method thereof. The base material comprises a bag body (1) capable of being filled with fluid, a plurality of anti-skid stripes (2) are arranged outside the bag body (1), and an in-out assembly for the fluid to enter and exit is arranged on the bag body (1). The base material is used for realizing rapid construction of the cofferdam and comprises the following specific steps: filling a plurality of bag bodies (1) with water; sequentially stacking the bag bodies (1) filled with water; and the stacked bag bodies (1) are bound, tensioned and fixed through mooring ropes (11), and rapid construction of the cofferdam is achieved. Compared with the prior art, the cofferdam has the advantages that the cofferdam can be rapidly constructed, and meanwhile the cofferdam is small in size, convenient to transport and transfer, easy to construct, rapid to fill and disassemble and the like. Meanwhile, compared with a traditional sandbag, the sandbag can also be used as a water storage container, and after air is filled, the sandbag can also be combined with a mooring rope to serve as a floating material for rescue in water.
