The invention provides a control method and device of an excavator and the excavator. The control method of the excavator comprises the steps that at least one of the pilot pressure of a bucket rod, rotation priority current and the pressure difference of a rod cavity of the bucket rod is obtained; according to a first mapping relation between a first parameter and a current value and the first parameter, a first input current is calculated, the input current of a first proportional flow valve is adjusted to the first input current, and the first parameter is at least one of bucket rod pilot pressure, rotation priority current and pressure difference. The method solves the problem that a traditional excavator valve-controlled hydraulic system adopts one valve element to control an inlet oil way and an outlet oil way at the same time, and consequently the efficiency of the hydraulic system is low.
