The invention discloses an anti-beam-falling device for a bridge in an earthquake area and a design method thereof.The anti-beam-falling device comprises a steel sleeve, the steel sleeve is located on at least one side of a beam body, a distance is formed between the steel sleeve and a support pad stone on the corresponding side, and the steel sleeve and the beam body are connected through a connecting piece; the connecting piece comprises a first connecting end, a second connecting end and a rod body between the first connecting end and the second connecting end, the first connecting end is connected into the steel sleeve, and the second connecting end is connected with the beam body; the sectional dimension of the first connecting end and the sectional dimension of the second connecting end are both larger than the sectional dimension of the rod body, and/or the elastic modulus of the first connecting end and the elastic modulus of the second connecting end are both larger than the elastic modulus of the rod body. Under the action of an earthquake, a part with a small cross section or a part with a small elastic modulus is subjected to plastic deformation firstly to dissipate energy, so that the influence of earthquake force on a bridge structure is reduced, the energy dissipation effect is achieved through local plastic deformation, the damage of the earthquake to a bridge is reduced, and post-earthquake repair is facilitated.
