The invention belongs to the field of special concrete, and particularly relates to low-hydration-heat large-volume aluminoferrite cement concrete and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: firstly, putting the sand, the iron aluminate cement, the fly ash, the mineral powder, the silica fume and the limestone powder into a stirrer, and stirring for 0.4-0.5 h at a linear speed of 2-5m/s to obtain a first mixture; adding water and an additive into the stirrer, and rapidly stirring for 30-40 seconds at a linear speed of 4-6 m/s to obtain uniform mortar; and adding the stones into the stirrer, and uniformly stirring at a linear speed of 1-3m/s for 50-60s to obtain the low-hydration-heat large-volume aluminoferrite cement concrete mixture. According to the invention, the temperature crack risk of the mass concrete is reduced, the cementing material has better performance, the heat release amount and heat release concentration of the mass concrete are reduced from the angle of aggregate, the heat release concentration phenomenon of the cement is reduced, the cement is combined with the aggregate to the greatest extent, and the heat loss is facilitated.
